Dallas DA primary winner Amber Givens speaks after close race – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Former judge Amber Givens is speaking after edging out incumbent John Creuzot in the Dallas County district attorney primary race.

Because no Republican filed to run for the seat, the winner of this Democratic primary is the presumptive District Attorney for Dallas County. 

Amber Givens was the previous Judge of the 282nd Judicial District Court in Dallas.

John Creuzot is a retired Judge and lawyer now serving his second term as Dallas County Criminal District Attorney after being first elected in 2018.
