Man receives 16 months prison sentence after pleading guilty to deadly 2019 high-speed crash

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock man was sentenced to 16 months in prison for his role in a deadly high-speed crash back in 2019.

Evan Charles Flacy was sentenced by Judge Eichman in the 364th District Court after pleading guilty to criminally negligent homicide.

Flacy struck a Buick going 119 miles per hour on I-27 near the Lubbock County Club.

The crash killed 21-year-old passenger Zatryx Boggus and seriously injured the driver Carolyne Travis.
