Every once in a while, you see something in public so strange, so confusing, or so unbelievably gross that your brain can’t help but hang onto the memory forever.
The RockShow with Chrissy and Wes decided to ask Lubbock listeners to share the weirdest thing they’ve seen a stranger do that they just can’t get out of their head. The answers range from “oh, that’s weird” to “please, God, erase this from my mind.” Here are the results:
The Sniffer
One woman shared a moment that ruined Dairy Queen forever. She said she once watched a woman walk out of the restaurant, stick her hands down the back of her underwear, scratch her crack, and then sniff her fingers for a solid six seconds while walking to her car. There are some things you simply cannot unsee.

A man shared a tale from his time working at a gas station, and it’s a bit of a head-scratcher. Apparently, an old woman came in, bought a tallboy, a Rice Krispies Treat, and 2 packs of menthol cigarettes. Then, she walked outside, chugged her beer in one gulp, came back in to borrow a lighter, and later returned to thank him for the lighter by flashing him, throwing up, apologizing, flashing him again, and then disappearing into the night. Wow.

Someone else remembered a moment from her days of dog grooming. After finishing up one dog and handing it back to its owner, she looked over and noticed the owner holding the dog upside down and sniffing its butt “like it was a glass of wine.” The owner explained that she was just “making sure the groomer did a good job.” And they say cat people are weird…

Another guy said that the first week he lived in Lubbock, he rode the bus to work. An older woman got on the bus, sat down across from him, put her feet up on her walker like stirrups, and started slowly gumming a Slim Jim, with no teeth. He revealed he has yet to eat another Slim Jim.
