Sarah Wolf, founder of Good Party ATX, stopped by We Are Austin to share a few weekend ideas — and, as always, she brought along an adorable adoptable pup looking for a forever home.

This week’s special guest was Mookie, a lovable dog currently being cared for through the rescue group TRAPRS. Wolf explained that Mookie and his sister were originally found abandoned and wandering near traffic, with kind neighbors feeding them but unable to give them a permanent home. That’s when a foster with TRAPRS stepped in to help.
“We know he’s still young, maybe a year and a half or so,” Wolf shared. “He is a lover. He absolutely loves people. He’s exploring for toys right now — he loves his toys, he loves going for walks, and he’ll give you a million kisses when he meets you. He’s a gentle giant, a big sweetheart.”
“This is Mookie. He’s with an amazing rescue group called TRAPRS. They help rescue street dogs that are found abandoned,” Wolf said. “He was found with his sister kind of dodging traffic, just loose. People had been feeding them for a while, but they had no place to go. A foster stepped up with TRAPRS and took him and his sister in, and now he’s living a life of luxury while we learn more about him and find his home.”

Now safe in foster care, Mookie is showing off his sweet personality while the rescue works to find the perfect family for him. Wolf says the young pup — estimated to be about a year and a half old — has quickly proven himself to be an affectionate and playful companion.
“We know he’s still young, maybe a year and a half or so,” Wolf shared. “He is a lover. He absolutely loves people. He’s exploring for toys right now — he loves his toys, he loves going for walks, and he’ll give you a million kisses when he meets you. He’s a gentle giant, a big sweetheart.”
Beyond his loving personality, Mookie is also well-mannered and adaptable, which could make him a great addition to many homes.
“He’s great in the car, he’s crate trained, and he’s good at home,” Wolf added. “He seriously checks off all the boxes. The only thing is he might be a little skeptical of cats because he’s still young.”
