EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — As part of their efforts to “vigilantly” execute non-support warrants, the El Paso County Constable Office for Precinct 3 arrested two men who owe thousands of dollars in child support.
On Thursday, March 5, deputies received information of an active warrant for failing to pay child support with a $20,000 bond for 43-year-old Fernando Montoya. Montoya failed to appear at a court hearing “disregarding the court’s child support orders,” according to the Constable’s Office.

Montoya owes over $40,000 in child support. He was located at the 15000 block of Pumice and booked into the El Paso County jail.
On Friday, March 6, deputies received information of an active warrant for failing to pay child support with a $2,500 bond for 43-year-old Carlos Luis Ochoa. The Constable’s Office stated that Ochoa also failed to appear at a court hearing, disregarding the court’s child support orders.

Ochoa owes over $14,000 in child support. He was located on the 8200 block of San Jose and booked into the county jail without further incident.
“Constable Bernal recognizes that these types of warrants are often overlooked by law enforcement agencies. Constable Bernal would like to remind the community that his deputies will vigilantly be executing criminal non-support warrants, looking for offenders,” according to the Constable’s Office.
