Plano Senior, Plano West students named Texas Theatre Scholars

Plano West’s Catherine Cockrell and Jake Kerstine and Plano Senior’s Mikayla Bigelow and Matilde Rodriguez-Glass were awarded.

Plano ISD announced this week that four students, two each from Plano Senior High School and Plano West Senior High School, were given the Texas Theatre Scholar Award from the Texas Thespians.

According to a news release, the award “celebrates students who exemplify excellence in the classroom and on the stage, and recognizes young artists for their dedication, discipline and passion for theatre education.”

From Plano Senior, the awardees were Mikayla Bigelow and Matilde Rodriguez-Glass, who were named Vice President’s Scholars.
