Taylor Sheridan’s North Texas ranch is home to many equestrian events, but it’s also a meeting place for the stars.
Town & Country recently reported that Sheridan invited Michelle Pfeiffer to his Bosque Ranch in Weatherford to discuss her role in “The Madison.” The six-episode Paramount+ series premieres three episodes on March 14 and three more on March 21.
“The Madison” is described as a “heartfelt study of grief and human connection following a New York City family (the Clyburns) in the Madison River valley of central Montana.”
Here’s a look at that North Texas meeting of the minds.
Michelle Pfeiffer visits North Texas ranch
Sheridan contacted Pfeiffer about meeting with her for the project.
Pfeiffer told Town & Country that she didn’t know what to expect, since normally a producer will send over a script to begin a conversation about a new show.
“There wasn’t anything to read. So he said, ‘Come visit me in Texas and I will tell you the story,’” Pfeiffer said.
Pfeiffer did just that and learned the full scope of Sheridan’s vision at his ranch, which had an impact on her.
“I am a city mouse for sure,” Pfeiffer said. “So I was really surprised by the visceral reaction that I had, and how moved I was.”
A few Sheridan-produced shows have filmed at Bosque Ranch, including “Yellowstone,” “Lioness” and “Lawmen: Bass Reeves.” The venue also hosts his annual music festival Bosque Ranch Live.

While “The Madison” filmed primarily in Montana, the show also spent time in North Texas.
The production repainted the Texas landscape to appear as The Big Apple. New York City Police Department-branded vehicles were spotted on the streets of Dallas, and extras were needed in Fort Worth for a scene at New York City’s Museum of Modern Art.
“The Madison” has already been renewed for a second season, which was filmed last year.
In addition to Pfeiffer, “The Madison” stars Kurt Russell, Patrick J. Adams, Matthew Fox, Elle Chapman, Beau Garrett, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, Kevin Zegers and Will Arnett.
“The Madison” premieres March 14 on Paramount+.
