Public education outreach is one of the strategies in the City’s Safe Streets Arlington Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, adopted by the City Council in December 2024.
By emphasizing safer driver, bicyclist, and pedestrian behaviors and making strategic improvements to street infrastructure, Arlington is working to reduce deaths and serious injuries on city streets by 5% annually with the goal of zero deaths and serious injuries by 2050.
