SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Texas Tech slipped past UNCW, 4-3, on Friday in men’s college tennis action at the Arnhold Tennis Center.

The Red Raiders, who were ranked 72nd in the latest ITA rankings, pushed their record to 9-4 with their third straight win. The Seahawks dropped to 2-7.

The match came down to Texas Tech’s Sebastian Abboud edging Alexander Thompson in three sets at number six singles. Abboud won 6-4 in the first set only to see Thompson knot it up with a 7-6 win in the second set. Abboud, though, would prevail, 6-2, in the third set.
