Authorities held the status at the Mountain View campus for a short period Saturday evening.
DALLAS — Campus police at Dallas College’s Mountain View called for a temporary lockdown of the campus for about a half-hour Saturday evening, authorities say.
A campus representative confirmed with WFAA that a “suspicious individual” was spotted near the campus in the Cockrell Hill area of Southern Dallas just before 7 p.m., at which time the lockdown was called.Â
Members of the campus community were contacted as the status was active and text messages urged people on campus to go to their nearest room.
An all-clear was called at approximately 7:24 after the threat to the campus was assessed, says the campus rep. Â Â
