SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — One man is lucky to be alive after his car was stopped on Loop 410 by another car after a fell unconscious.
KSAT-12 reports the man’s car was spotted by a couple who noticed it swerving and hitting barriers near Harry Wurzbach Road. Out of immediate concern, the couple started recording as the driver, Rene Villarreal, pushed ahead of the car. Once Villareal got in front, he slowly brought the car to a stop, and may have avoided catastrophe as a result.
The San Antonio Police Department responded shortly thereafter and the man was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Villareal’s girlfriend, Andrea Walker, recorded video footage that has now been seen more than 3 million times on TikTok.
The man’s family has offered to pay for the damage caused to Villareal’s truck, but he tells KSAT-12 there is no serious damage to his truck.
