It is time to dust off your greenest duds—St. Patrick’s Day is taking over Houston, and 2026 is shaping up to be one of the biggest celebrations in the city’s history. While the holiday officially falls on Tuesday, March 17, the real party kicks off this Saturday, March 14, 2026 at POST..

From the massive 65th Annual Parade downtown to exclusive rooftop concerts, here is your updated guide to navigating the “Luck of the Irish” in Space City.

The Main Event: 65th Annual Houston St. Patrick’s Parade

This weekend will see the 65th annual Houston St. Patrick’s Parade. Kicking off at noon on Saturday, March 14, the parade will launch at City Hall in Downtown Houston. This year’s procession is expected to feature over 100 entries, including bagpipers, Irish dancers, and the city’s most creative “green” floats. The event is free to attend and will take place rain or shine.

The After-Party: POST Houston

Once the parade wraps up, the crowd migrates to POST Houston (401 Franklin St), the official after-party headquarters. They’ve packed Saturday with a full schedule of immersive Irish culture and modern nightlife.

On the docket for this Saturday’s festivities are traditional Irish performances, live bands, balloon artists, face painters, foods, drinks, and more!

The venue will also be hosting a special Pot O’ Gold Scavenger Hunt. Running from 1 pm to 3 pm, the visitors are encouraged to explore the venue’s nooks and crannies – from The Docks, POST Market, and Z Atrium, to X Atrium, Barbara Jordan Plaza and Skylawn, where officials have squirreled away a range of prizes including tickets to POST’s various venues.

If you’re not one of the 7 lucky ones to find a prize, the venue will also host a St. Paddy’s Day trivia at POST Market. Taking place at 5 pm, players can compete for other prizes while enjoying green beer specials throughout the day.

For the grand finale, POST will be hosting a rooftop concert and performance by U2 tribute band, Blood Red Sky. Tickets to the rooftop concert grants those with free admission to the Post Skylawn Rooftop Rodeo Kickoff.
