With the first quarter of 2026 almost in the books, North Texas schools are getting ready for spring break.

Most school districts, universities and colleges across the Dallas-Forth Worth areawill take their break over the next three weeks..

Here’s when school will break.

The University of North Texas and the UNT Health Science Center in Fort Worth, The University of Texas at Arlington, Texas Woman’s University, Dallas Baptist University, East Texas A&M University and North Central Texas College start spring break Monday, March 9 and run through Friday, March 13.

The University of Texas at Dallas, Southern Methodist University, Texas Christian University, Dallas College and Tarrant County College take the week of Monday, March 16 and end Friday, March 20.

The University of Texas Southwestern operates differently. The School of Health Professionals, Peter O’Donnell Jr. School of Public Health and the graduate school (clinical psychology first-year students only) will be out March 21-29.

The medical school follows a rolling spring schedule from March 28 to April 12, depending on what year in school a student may be.
