A Houston man was arrested after a shooting early Sunday morning in Lafayette that left one person hospitalized.
Demontre Robertson, 35, of Houston, was charged with attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon, according to jail records. His bond was set at $250,000.
Officers responded around 3:30 a.m. Sunday to the 100 block of Staten Street after reports of a shooting in progress, Lafayette police said.
When officers arrived, they found a victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.
Responding officers also located and detained a suspect who remained at the scene.
