ARLINGTON, Texas — The Arlington Police Department is investigating a fatal auto-pedestrian crash that occurred early Saturday morning on Highway 360.

On March 7, 2026, at approximately 5:09 a.m., officers responded to the northbound lanes of Highway 360 near E. Avenue J after receiving reports of a pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle, according to a press release from the department. Upon arrival, officers found a male pedestrian trapped underneath a small truck.

Preliminary investigations suggest the man had been traveling northbound on Highway 360 in a Dodge Durango with a female passenger. After stopping his vehicle along the highway, he exited and began walking with his passenger in the lane of travel on the Highway 360 entrance ramp.

During this time, the man was struck by a 2025 Ford Maverick traveling northbound on the frontage road and entering the on-ramp to Highway 360. The male pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene, stated the Arlington Police Department.

The driver of the Ford Maverick stopped immediately and cooperated with investigators. No criminal charges are being filed against the driver at this time. The female passenger who had been traveling with the male pedestrian in the Dodge Durango was not injured during the crash.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased once next of kin have been notified. The Arlington Police Department reminds the public that pedestrians should avoid walking on highways and that drivers should exit the roadway as soon as possible if they must stop, remaining inside their vehicle if safe to do so.
