Ok, that’s a little click bait-y but it’s true. The El Paso based, groove metal legends are kicking off a new east coast tour and it begins with a surprise going away party tonight.

Pissing Razors are El Paso legends and metal royalty. To this day, local bands owe them a debt of gratitude for taking the local music scene to a new level in the late 90’s. From the very beginning, Pissing Razors have embodied the music they play and the lifestyle that accompanies it.

This isn’t play acting nor is it playing to the latest trend. This is raw, pure, unabashed and in your face. It’s real and it’s a genre they practically created – “psycho, punko groove” metal.

They have traveled the world and shown fans all over it how to rock, “El Chuco” style but they haven’t been back to the east coast in about 20 years so, this is an exciting moment for Pissing Razors and their fans alike.

Pissing Razors frontman Joe Razor recently told Bravewords that the tour will be a nostalgic and emotional one since many of their east coast fans will be seeing the band live, (and hearing a lot of Pissing Razors music live), for the first time in a generation. Others, for the first time ever. Check out their recent cover of Static X’s “Cannibal”.

It all starts tonight at B-29 Bombers Oyster Pub, 8220 Gateway East, with a surprise performance only recently announced. I’ll be the emcee, Soren will open and hopefully you will join us for the loudest, rowdiest, “groove” – iest going away party ever.

Come ready to knock back a few shots and make a lot of noise. Let’s get them “east bound and down” with a good buzz and their ears ringing as loud as ours will be.
