After a few days respite from severe weather, Tuesday could bring back the chances of thunderstorms and tornadoes.

Showers could start in the late morning, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, but rain chances are only about 30% from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The probability of precipitation increases to 44% until 7 p.m., then jumps to 80% and stays there until 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Hail, damaging winds and a tornado — or two — are possible, particularly to the west of the Interstate 35 corridor. Exact forecasted wind speeds and hail sizes were not available from the weather service, but if these threats materialize, they are most likely from 4 p.m. to midnight.

Localized flooding is also possible, as total rainfall from the event is expected to reach 1.3 inches.
