Jose Prieto, who owns the Razorsedge barbershop in Euless, was just about to close Friday night when he heard a loud boom.
He described how he was taking care of customers just before closing time at 7 p.m.
“We heard a loud boom, and the next thing you know, we had a car in here,” Prieto said.
He described how an elderly driver crashed into the building. The person was taken to a hospital, he said.
Thankfully, he said, customers and employees were not injured in the crash, which was captured on surveillance video.
Prieto, who owns the barbershop at 1007 W. Harwood Blvd., told the Star-Telegram Monday that he is open for business, but he has a lot of damaged tools and equipment. He said the electrical system is damaged as well.
“We had a lot of our tools and equipment messed up,” he said, describing the damage.
Prieto didn’t have an estimate of what it will cost to repair the damage, and said he will have a better idea after he meets with his insurance company.
“We’ve been open for 15 years now. We’ve never had anything like this happen,” he said. “We’ve never had anything like this going on before.”
