HORIZON CITY, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Police have secured a Horizon City neighborhood after they had previously asked people to stay away from the area amid heavy police presence.
On Monday, the Horizon City Police Department posted on social media that officers are responding to the 14000 block of Sand Gate Drive, asking people to avoid the area.
Hours later, HCPD updated its post saying, “Scene is secure, no residents or members of the public were in danger at anytime. Officers remain at the scene continuing to investigate. Thank you for your patience.”
It is unclear what happened as information remains limited.
Video from the area was shared on the popular social media account @therealfitfamelpaso.
In it, you can see several HCPD and El Paso County Sheriff units in the area and officers with their weapons drawn.
