Jeanette (Storms) Wuest

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on March 21 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ingleside Garden Center, 2740 Mustang Drive, to remember Jeanette Wuest, lifetime resident of the Ingleside /Corpus Christi area.

Jeanette passed to heaven on February 13, 2026, at Harbor Hospice in Portland. Mina Jeanette Storms was born on June 20, 1942, in Selma, California, to Gerald and Lois Storms. A private cremation was arranged through the Neptune Society.

Jeanette enjoyed twelve years in Ingleside schools with many lifetime friends. She married in 1961, and after her son, Chester R. Wuest, Jr. (C.R.), was born, she became a full-time homemaker. After residing in Corpus Christi and Portland for several years, Jeanette had been a resident of Ingleside since 1982. 

In addition to her parents, Jeanette was predeceased by her brother, Jerry Gene Storms, of Ingleside. Surviving are her son, C.R., and his partner, Connie Fredell; granddaughter, Kayla Wuest Lines (Philip), and three great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Stein, and Luna; sister, Jenelle VanMatre; three nephews and a niece, as well as several cousins.
