The Dallas Cowboys received two compensatory picks for next month’s NFL draft, the league announced Monday.

The Cowboys will be on the clock in the fifth round at Nos. 177 and 180 overall. Dallas has eight overall selections, including picks No. 12 and 20 in the first round.

In the NFL, a team that loses more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in the previous year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. The compensatory picks are positioned between the third through seventh rounds based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost.

A total of 33 compensatory draft selections were awarded across 15 teams this year.
