Families can dive into science and fun at the Corpus Christi Museum with Geek Gala Jr., featuring “Backyard Science” and hands on demonstrations.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Families looking for something fun to do during spring break will have a chance to mix science, learning and entertainment this week at the Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History.
The museum will host Geek Gala Jr. on, Thursday, March 12, from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., as we welcome all ages a family-friendly fundraiser designed for visitors of all ages.
This year’s theme is “Backyard Science,” highlighting hands-on activities that explore the science behind everyday discoveries.
Guests can expect interactive learning stations, a live science show, music, games, food and even dancing dinosaurs throughout the evening. The event will also give visitors a rare opportunity to see some of the museum’s collections that are typically kept behind the scenes.
Organizers say the event is meant to give both locals and tourists an extra activity to enjoy while visiting the Coastal Bend during spring break.
Geek Gala Jr. will take place Thursday evening at the museum. Proceeds from the event will help support the museum’s educational programs and exhibits.
