Codes Enforcement Neighborhood Deployment in Maedgen Neighborhood

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – (News release from the City of Lubbock)

The Code Enforcement Department will conduct a neighborhood deployment in the Maedgen neighborhood on Wednesday, March 11, between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. This exercise area will be bordered by 34th Street, Indiana Avenue, 50th Street, and Quaker Avenue.

Code Enforcement will have a field office set up at the south parking lot of Sunset Church of Christ, located at 3718 36th Street, for citizens to ask questions or report violations. Solid Waste will provide a roll off dumpster at the field office for the citizens in the defined area to dispose of unwanted bulky items such as furniture, appliances, or tree branches.

The object of this exercise will be to identify violations relating to:

Junked VehiclesNuisance Weeds and RubbishSubstandard HousingZoning

Code Enforcement Inspectors will be talking to the public to provide education regarding these types of violations, citing violations, and possibly abating violations during this exercise.
