SAN ANTONIO – A motorist has died after losing control of his three-wheeled vehicle, resulting in a tragic crash.
Police were called to the scene of the reported crash around 3:10 p.m. on Monday, near the corner of Tezel Road and Mainland Drive.
When officers arrived, they learned that a man, identified as 43-year-old Troy Lime, had been driving a 2017 Polaris Slingshot when investigators believe he lost control of the vehicle.
The vehicle would depart from the northbound lanes of Tezel Road and into the median, heading into the southbound lanes.
Officers say the Slingshot came to rest in a grassy area of the roadway, but the driver was tragically ejected from the vehicle.
Despite the best efforts of first responders, upon arrival at the hospital, Lime was pronounced deceased.
No other vehicles or individuals were involved. Police are still investigating the incident.
