HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — The Houston Police Department said it’s searching for a suspect after a woman was found shot in the neck late Monday night.
Police said officers were called at about 10:30 p.m. to a parking lot on Westridge Street, which is less than a mile from NRG Park.
HPD described the woman as in her mid-30s and said she was sitting in the passenger seat of a Ford car.
“What we’ve heard so far is — the suspect was sitting in the back seat of the vehicle with her, and left on foot wearing a dark-colored hoodie. That’s all the information we have at this time,” Lt. J.P. Horelica said.
“She was transported to a local area hospital where she is currently in critical but stable condition,” Horelica added.
A possible motive or relationship between the two is unknown.
Anyone with information is asked to contact HPD at 713-308-8800 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
