Women’s Golf Places Sixth at Space City Classic

HOUSTON, Texas — The Concordia Texas women’s golf team wrapped up competition at the Space City Classic on Tuesday at Gus Wortham Park Golf Course.

Leading the way for the Tornados was Remme Trujillo, who finished 13th overall to record Concordia’s top individual performance of the tournament.

Reese Trujillo also turned in a strong showing, placing 18th to give CTX two golfers inside the top 20. Reese also tallied the second most birdies at the event with three.

Silvia Alejandra Martinez-Ibarra and Andrea Juarez each recorded top-30 finishes, tying for 28th overall, while Paige Zehner finished 30th to round out the Tornados’ lineup.

Concordia Texas will next return home to host the Linda Lowery Invitational on March 23-24 at the Teravista Golf Club.
