Last week, Meridian returned as a reimagined, refined neighborhood space
Meridian Restaurant has opened in The Village.
Meridian at The Village Dallas reopened its doors on last Friday for its new chapter led by Executive Chef Eduardo Osorio. The restaurant has embraced a more neighborhood vibe and “warmer, more approachable identity centered on hearth cooking, seasonal ingredients, and shareable plates.” The reimagined restaurant features a menu that touches on Italian, Mediterranean, and New American flavors across its menu.
Signature dishes include Wagyu Tallow Seared Oysters with pancetta and espelette; Foie & Sea Island Cornbread, topped with brown butter and optional caviar applied tableside; and the Buzzed & Aged Burger, layered with gruyere and caramelized onions; Lumache Lamb Bolognese, Snake River White Sturgeon with chanterelles and creamed leeks, and a selection of dry-aged steaks from the hearth, including a 21-day dry aged ribeye with smoked tomato bordelaise.
“This menu is about finding finesse in simplicity,” Chef Osorio said in a press release. “Cooking over fire brings out layers of flavor that feel both soulful and celebratory. We’ve created food meant to be shared, approachable dishes that bring people together while still carrying the craftsmanship and creativity that define The Village’s culinary culture.”
Cocktails highlights include the Woodfired Negroni with ember-roasted walnut and Pechuga mezcal; the Extroverted Old Fashion, layered with winter bitters and High West Midwinter Nights Dram; and Truffle the Night Martini, a luxe espresso martini finished with vanilla and truffle.
For a lighter touch, mocktails like Get Figgy With It (red delicious tea, fig, and allspice) echo the same thoughtful balance. Guests will also find an approachable yet curated wine list blending French, Italian, Californian, and local selections, alongside local beer and whiskey.
Meridian can seat up to 156 guests across the dining room, bar, patio and private dining space. The restaurant will also introduce a monthly tasting menu beginning later this year, along with its family-style Sunday Supper ($99), which serves 3–4 people and features whole fried chicken with cornbread, charred broccolini, pimento grits, and dessert. In keeping with Meridian’s community-first ethos, 20% of Sunday Supper sales will benefit Meat Fight, a local nonprofit supporting those living with MS.
“This version of Meridian is about bringing people in more often, for cocktails after work, for dinner with friends, or for celebrating with family,” said Brandy Spence, Vice President of Food & Beverage for The Village. “We wanted to build something built around community, a place that feels welcoming while delivering the exceptional food and hospitality that defines Meridian.”
Meridian is located at 5605 Village Glen Drive.. Reservations will be available on OpenTable.
