Multiple wildfires are burning in the Texas panhandle.
Winds are gusting 50-60 mph. Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly.
Oldham County
The Yellow Fire started Tuesday evening. It is burning east-southeast of Channing.
As of 8 a.m. Wednesday, it had burned 8,500 acres and was 20-percent contained.

Voluntary evacuations are underway on Ady, Chuck Wagon, Trail End, Pond, Broken Spur and parts of RM 1061.
“Anyone in the smoke column. now should evacuate right now,” said Potter Fire-Rescue.
RM 1061 is closed from Highway 385 to RM 2381 in Potter County because of the fire.
Gray County
The Cabin Creek Fire stared Monday in Gray County.
