AUSTIN, Texas — The AMBER Alert issued for a 2-year-old girl abducted in Austin on Wednesday has been canceled after the child was found safe.

According to the Austin Police Department Watch Command, Alianna Bernardez Ocampo was located in El Campo, just two hours southeast of Austin. Officials say the child was found safe.

At this time, police say they do not know if an arrest has been made.

Authorities initially issued the AMBER Alert for Alianna, a 2-year-old Hispanic female with brown eyes and black hair. Police said she was last seen at 1:39 p.m. near the 1900 block of Willow Creek Drive wearing a white T-shirt.

Police identified the suspect as Kermith Zapata Bernardez, a 25-year-old Hispanic male who is 5’11” tall, weighs 170 pounds, has brown eyes and black hair, and has a short fade.

Officials said the suspect may have been traveling in a white 2022 Hyundai Venue with Texas license plate SWY9599. Police also said the vehicle had damage on the front driver’s side.
