ARLINGTON, Texas — The Arlington community is invited to participate in Court Connection, a free traffic safety program for students from elementary to high school.

The event will take place at the Arlington Municipal Court, located at 101 S. Mesquite St., from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 28, 2026. It is hosted by the Arlington Municipal Court in collaboration with the Arlington Police Department, Arlington Fire Department, and the City’s Transportation Department.

Participants will sign in at the building entrance and be directed to the appropriate floor based on their age and grade level. The event will feature interactive activities such as traffic safety exercises with free books and activity giveaways, drug and alcohol awareness with DUI goggles and a driving simulator, and a mock trial experience. Additionally, free bicycle helmets will be distributed while supplies last, courtesy of Hard Hats for Little Heads and the Texas Medical Association.

This initiative is part of the City’s Safe Streets Arlington Comprehensive Safety Action Plan, adopted by the City Council in December 2024. The plan aims to reduce deaths and serious injuries on city streets by 5% annually, with a long-term goal of zero deaths and serious injuries by 2050, according to a press release from the Office of Communication.
