Dallas Trinity FC salvaged a 1-1 draw against DC Power FC on Wednesday night at Audi Field in Washington, D.C. The tie gave Trinity FC 28 points on the campaign, keeping the club in the playoff race at third in its league standings.
Meanwhile, the DC Power sits in fourth with 23 points.
Trinity FC found itself in a bind early as DC power forward Loza Abera found the back of the net at the 17th minute. Abera took advantage of a loose ball in the 18-yard box after a series of deflections.

The DC Power held the advantage for about 27 minutes. Trinity FC bounced back near the end of the first half, thanks to a well-executed set piece.
Midfielder Lexi Missimo and forward Bethany Bos made the most of a free kick before the halftime break. Missimo sent a cross toward Bos, who headed the ball over the DC Power’s goalkeeper.
With the draw, Trinity FC brought its record to 8-6-4 on the season. The club is unbeaten in eight of its last nine regular-season matches.
Trinity FC continues Gainbridge Super League play against Lexington SC at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Cotton Bowl.
