Four people rescued from house fire in east Dallas, fire crews say

Two of those residents were transported to the hospital for unknown injuries.

DALLAS — Four people were rescued from a house fire in east Dallas Thursday evening, according to fire officials. 

Fire crews were dispatched a fire with trapped residents inside in the 5700 block of Churchill Avenue around 9:30 p.m. 

All four residents said to be trapped were rescued by firefighters within minutes of their arrival, officials say. Two of those residents were transported to the hospital for unknown injuries. 

Firefighters reported a light haze coming from the back of the house and were able to extinguish in minutes, crews say. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
