Renters in Corpus Christi saw apartment listing prices increase 9% from February 2025’s median of $1,376, an analysis of new data from rental marketplace Zumper shows.

The data covers all bedroom sizes, ranging from studios to four-bedroom units, within the specified metropolitan area. It reflects the median rent for all listings that were active at any given point during the month, according to Russell Middleton, co-founder of Zumper. New construction is included in the data and listings that are currently occupied or no longer available are excluded.

Out of 1,469 rental listings in Corpus Christi, 29 are subsidized. When those are excluded, the overall median rent for listed apartments goes to $1,500 .

One-bedroom apartments listed to rent at a median of $998, slightly lower than January, when they were $1,028. Since February 2025, one-bedroom rental prices slightly rose from $961.

Two-bedroom apartments listed for rent were basically flat to January at a central price of $1,240, compared to $1,250. Since February 2025, two-bedroom rental prices rose 5% from $1,177.

Statewide, Texas rental listing prices are very close to January’s median of $1,655. One-bedroom rentals were listed for a typical price of $1,253, essentially the same as January’s average of $1,249. Two-bedroom rental listing prices are trending slightly lower than January’s central price of $1,528 at $1,500.

In Corpus Christi, the typical apartment listed for rent is 9% below the state median. One-bedroom rentals were 20% below the state median, while two-bedrooms listed 17% below.

Nationwide, apartment rental listing prices are essentially unchanged from the previous month’s $1,870. One-bedroom rentals across the nation listed for a typical price of $1,519, just higher than the previous month’s median of $1,503, while two-bedroom rental listing prices approximately the same as the previous month’s median of $1,791.

In Corpus Christi, the typical apartment listed for rent is 19% below the national median. One-bedroom apartment rentals listed 34% below the national median, with two-bedroom rentals listed 30% below.

The median apartment rental prices used in this report are gathered from Zumper, which aggregates over one million active listings posted by brokers and landlords to Zumper’s Landlord Platform and third-party listings from MLS providers to calculate median asking rents.
