In a battle between two of the top Class 5A football teams in Oregon, it was Silverton using a late first-half run to to pop ahead against Dallas en route to a 30-23 win.

It was a must-win game for the Foxes, who are coming off a 34-28 loss to Lebanon last week and found themselves a game behind both Lebanon and Dallas in the league standings.

Dallas opened the game off with a bang. On the Dragon’s first play from scrimmage, Landon Holbrook took a handoff 50 yards for a touchdown. A two-point conversion made it an 8-0 lead early.
