LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lubbock Police Department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit is asking for the public’s help for information in locating a vehicle in connection to a central Lubbock fatal hit-and-run EverythingLubbock.com previously reported on.
LPD said officers responded to a report of a collision with injuries involving a pedestrian at the intersection of 50th Street and Canton Avenue at 10:22 p.m. on September 23.
Responding officers located Alfred Lopez, 68, lying in the roadway with serious injuries.
Lopez was transported by EMS to University Medical Center where he was later pronounced deceased.

Investigators are asking for information regarding a passenger car that stuck Lopez and left the scene.
The passenger car is described as a dark red Chevrolet Malibu, made between 2013-2015, with front-end damage on the driver’s side.
Anyone with information regarding this vehicle is asked to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000.
Police said individuals with information leading to an arrest may be eligible for a reward.
