EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — The El Paso Independent School District announced a new hotline to help families with any questions or concerns regarding their children’s education.

Parents and caregivers can call the Family Help Desk at 915-230-2581, Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. whenever families have questions regarding enrollment, transportation, student services, special programs, among other things.

The El Paso ISD said bilingual staff will take the calls, answer questions, or connect callers with the appropriate departments, hoping to address concerns quickly or with a follow-up within 24 hours.

EPISD also promised that calls that come in after hours will be returned the following business day.

Families also have the option of emailing at familyhelpdesk@episd.org instead of calling.

The new help desk is part of El Paso ISD’s initiative to improve communication between themselves and families.

“Families often don’t know where to start when they have a question or concern,” said Chief Communications Officer Liza Rodriguez. “The Family Help Desk was created to make that process simple. Whether a parent needs help enrolling a child, understanding a program, or finding the right department, this team is here to guide them.”

The service reflects the district’s commitment to improving responsiveness and transparency while ensuring families remain closely connected to their schools.

EPISD said the Family Help Desk will continue to evolve as people use it and the district gets a sense of the most common needs and concerns.

“Our goal is to remove barriers and make sure every family knows they have someone in the district who will listen and help,” Rodriguez said.
