A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday in east Oak Cliff, according to a news release from Dallas police.
Dallas police responded to a call in the 900 block of East Illinois at 12:40 a.m., the release said.
Investigators said they found a person was struck by a vehicle, and the driver fled the scene before officers arrived.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, where they later died, police said. The victim’s identity was not released.
