LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – After having two days off at the start of the Big 12 Tournament, No. 4-seeded Texas Tech was bounced out of the bracket by No. 5-seeded Iowa State, 75-53.
Only two Red Raiders scored in double-digits. LeJuan Watts finished with a team-high 12 points followed by Christian Anderson’s 10.
Texas Tech shot 19-56 from the floor and 9-29 from beyond the three-point line. Texas Tech attempted 10 free throws on the day while Iowa State went to the line 14 times.
Meanwhile, Texas Tech’s bench chipped in 12 points. The Red Raiders were outscored in the second half, 39-20
Now, the Red Raiders will wait to see where they fall on Selection Sunday as March Madness awaits.
