The Dallas Police Department received the bomb threat and swept every room of the Richardson ISD school before the threat was deemed not credible.
DALLAS — Students taking their SATs were evacuated from Lake Highlands High School after Richardson ISD was notified of a bomb threat, officials said.
The Dallas Police Department (DPD) received the threat and notified the district Saturday morning, according to a notice that was sent to parents and staff in the district.
Students taking their SATs were told to log out of their computers and evacuate the building, officials said.
DPD officers swept through every room of the school and determined the threat was not credible, according to the notice sent by the district.
“Please know that we take any potential threat very seriously, and the safety of our students remains our highest priority,” the district notice said.
The notice said the College Board will contact impacted students directly regarding rescheduling their SATs.
