SURPRISE, Ariz. — The Rangers have tickets available for their home opener, something of a rarity.
But there is a catch for fans who simply want to be part of the festivities.
You’ve got to buy tickets for another game, too.
According to a news release from the club, the Rangers will put a “limited” number of individual tickets for the April 3 home opener against Cincinnati on sale at 10 a.m. CT Tuesday at rangers.com/tickets, by phone at 972-RANGERS and at the Southeast Box Office at Globe Life Field.

Now, here’s the caveat: “To purchase Opening Day tickets, fans must also buy tickets to an additional regular-season game. The number of tickets purchased for the additional game must match the number of Opening Day tickets selected.”
Opening day tickets have always come with a premium. The Rangers have, in the past, tied opening day ticket availability to season-ticket purchases and multi-game packages. This is the third year the Rangers have required additional tickets be purchased to secure opening day tickets.
