SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The San Antonio Police Department is charging the driver of a car with driving while intoxicated (DWI) after a crash on the Southeast Side.
KSAT-12 reports the car in question was headed westbound at Southeast Military Drive and Mission Road around 10:30 p.m. Friday. Investigators say the car slammed into another car carrying the officers after it made a turn onto Mission Road. The officers were in the car that was hit, and both were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
According to investigators, an open container of alcohol was found inside the suspect vehicle, and the driver was later arrested and charged with DWI.
No other details were given and the investigation is ongoing.
