SAN ANTONIO — A pedestrian was tragically killed on Saturday after police say a rideshare driver accidentally hit her at the corner of a busy Northwest Side intersection.
First responders were called around 1:09 p.m. to the intersection of West Quill Drive and Bandera Road.
Officers on scene said the driver was traveling down Quill with a passenger when he attempted to turn onto Bandera.
The driver thought he pressed the brake but “accidentally ” hit the gas pedal and accelerated, police said.
A woman in her mid 30s who was standing at the corner with an advertisement sign was struck.
