VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (March 14, 2026) – Lubbock Christian University wrapped up indoor track and field season this weekend with a number of competitors at the NCAA Division II National Championships, where Maurice Gray and the women’s 4X400 team secured top-10 finishes.
 
The Lady Chap foursome of Elizabeth Florez, Joy Egwu, Kerrigan Huynh and Jozlyn Arana finished sixth and scored three points, posting a time of 3:42.15 at the final meet of the season.
 
This is a photo of Maurice Gray with his seventh place long jump trophy.Gray was the top leaper in the first flight and just barely missed matching his PR with a jump of 7.36 meters. The Prosper, Texas, native ended up in seventh place at the national meet, earning a spot on the podium.
 
The two other Chaparral individuals – Reuel Campbell and Chris Moffett – were competing in the 400. Campbell placed 12th with a time of 47.44, and Moffett was 16th with a time of 48.10.
 
Those two were also on the 4×400 team along with Daniel Sianez and Aden Soto. The team placed 12th with a time of 3:17.99.
 
Lubbock Christian will now turn its attention to outdoor season, which will kick off next weekend at the West Texas Relays in Canyon, Texas.
