Texas baseball will be looking to score its first SEC series victory of the season when it hosts Ole Miss on Sunday.

It’s the first time all year the Longhorns (17-1, 1-1 SEC) have made it to Sunday with the outcome of the series still undecided. The Rebels (16-4, 1-1) handed Texas its first loss of the season in extra innings on Friday after the Longhorns blew a four-run lead in the ninth inning. Texas bounced back with an 11-2 win on Saturday behind seven strong innings from starter Luke Harrison.

Dylan Volantis will start Sunday’s rubber game for the Rebels. Last season’s SEC Freshman of the Year has been outstanding since being introduced into the starting rotation this season, but looked human for a chance last time out, when he surrendered three earned runs and failed to make it out of the fifth inning against USC Upstate.

He’ll be opposed by Ole Miss’ Wil Libbert. The Missouri transfer gave up two runs in five innings of work last time out in a win over Evansville.
