Dallas-Fort Worth residents can expect high winds and a cold front at the start of the week, followed by warmer weather in the middle and end of the week.

David Bonnette, National Weather Service meteorologist, said despite Monday’s cold to expect warmer temperatures throughout the week until Friday.

“We’re going from near freezing temperatures tonight to 90 degree temperatures by Friday,” Bonnette said.

Bonnette said this weather pattern is called shoulder weather and is common during the spring months.

“In the fall, they call them the shoulder season. So the fall and the spring, you’d usually get these sharp temperature changes between cold fronts,” he said.
