Empty soda box sparks bomb threat on far North Side

SAN ANTONIO – An empty soda box prompted a bomb threat on the far North Side on Saturday evening.

The incident took place around 6:40 p.m. near U.S. Hwy 281 and TPC Parkway.

According to the San Antonio Police Department, officers were informed of a suspicious package.

The location was quickly shut down and evacuated as an investigation took place, which revealed the package to be an empty soda box.
