All northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 35E in Denton have reopened after they were closed Sunday afternoon, according to a statement from the Denton Fire Department.
Video from Texas Department of Transportation traffic cameras showed northbound vehicles being directed toward the exit ramp. Officials said southbound traffic was directed toward I-35W.
The lanes reopened shortly after 5:50 p.m.Sunday.
Fire officials said the closures were caused by construction debris that was blown off a bridge approximately 50 to 70 feet above the highway.

Construction crews were on scene to address the issue around 3:30 p.m., the statement said.
