EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police arrested 38-year-old Rodolfo Marcelino Rodriguez after a reported domestic disturbance in the 9500 block of Martinique Drive on March 13.
Officers with the El Paso Police Department responded at about 3:30 p.m. to a report of an aggravated assault in progress. Police said they met with a 66-year-old man who reported that his step-son confronted him inside the residence and threatened him with a kitchen knife.
Police said the step-son, identified as Rodriguez, also sprayed the victim in the face with an air freshener. The victim fled the home and called the police for help.
Additional assistance was requested, and SWAT responded to the scene. Police said the suspect initially stayed inside the residence but later came out and was taken into custody for the offense. Rodriguez was later booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $35,000 bond.
