EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — El Paso police arrested 38-year-old Rodolfo Marcelino Rodriguez after a reported domestic disturbance in the 9500 block of Martinique Drive on March 13 in the Lower Valley.
Officers with the El Paso Police Department responded at about 3:30 p.m. to a report of an aggravated assault in progress.

Police said they met with a 66-year-old man who reported that his step-son, Rodriguez, confronted him inside the residence and threatened him with a kitchen knife.
Police said Rodriguez also sprayed the victim in the face with an air freshener.
The victim fled the home and called the police for help.
Additional assistance was requested, and SWAT responded to the scene.
Police said the suspect initially stayed inside the home but later surrendered and was taken into custody.
Rodriguez was later booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $35,000 bond.
However, on Monday, a judge lowered Rodriguez’s bond to $10,000 with the following conditions:
Must report to a parole officer.
Not be arrested again.Not possess weapons.Not take alcohol or drugsNo contact with his stepfather.Stay away from the stepfather’s home Submit to a mental health screening.
As of Monday morning, jail records show Rodriguez remains in jail.
