A Houston-area waterpark is hiring more than 1,000 seasonal workers for the summer, with positions open to applicants as young as 15.

KATY, Texas — A popular Houston-area waterpark is gearing up for summer by hiring more than 1,000 seasonal workers. Typhoon Texas Waterpark in Katy announced a major hiring push as it prepares for another busy season.

The park says it is looking for enthusiastic workers ages 15 and up to help operate the attraction during the upcoming summer months.

Typhoon Texas Waterpark said the seasonal hiring campaign includes positions across several departments, giving applicants a range of opportunities to work at the park.

Park leaders say the jobs are ideal for first-time job seekers, students and others looking to gain work experience in a fast-paced environment.

“At Typhoon Texas Waterpark, our team members are at the heart of the guest experience,” said John Pham, vice president of marketing. “We’re looking for energetic individuals who enjoy working with people and want to be part of a fun, supportive team while helping guests create lasting summer memories.”

Applications for the seasonal jobs are now open and available online through the park’s website.

Officials say employees will receive competitive pay along with several perks. These include free tickets for friends and family, discounted food and retail inside the park, scholarship opportunities, leadership development programs and the chance to build customer service and teamwork skills.

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis throughout the hiring season, and park leaders encourage interested applicants to apply early.

Typhoon Texas Waterpark says the new hires will help the park prepare for another summer of attractions and entertainment for visitors traveling to Katy from across the Houston area.
